‘’Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get.’’ – Forrest Gump
I watched a very good movie yesterday, Forrest Gump is probably still one of my favorite movies until this day because it holds such a powerful life and business message that we should all pay attention to.
How can I get what I want in life:
Let me start off by talking about a mistake we all made/are still making every single day.
We all always have this feeling that something is missing from our lives. Sometimes we know what it is, but sometimes we have no clue. It is a desire that drives us.
Most of us usually make a basic mistake of trying really hard to find a way to make this desire come true, to achieve our goal and to get what we want. We spent so much time looking for a way. We spent so much time looking for a strategy that will make all our goals and dreams come true.
The thing is all that time that we spend looking for it could be spent on working. At the end of the day, everything you ALWAYS wanted out of your life has always been right in front of you. You just didn’t take the time to look.
Forrest, on the other hand, did take the time to look, in fact, that’s the only place he did look. Apparently, he had a low IQ, but he still managed to do something most of us aren’t able to do and that was focus.
What’s the one thing I can do to live my dreams and achieve my goals:
He never looked for a way to make money, to make friends, to start a successful business. It all just came to him, naturally. All he did was take action.
From ping pong to his shrimp business. It was all presented to him in the most subtle of ways, but because he acknowledged it, he worked hard, remained patient and consistent he achieved success in all those things. He became a world champion in ping pong. He started an incredible shrimp business and more.
While you could say that this is just luck and that it happened because it’s only a movie, I would disagree.
I truly believe the exact same thing can occur in real life if you use the same approach of focus and patience.
As I said we often look for a way to make our dreams come true, but instead of looking we should just switch to doing.
There’s an enormously higher chance that you already have an opportunity you could take advantage of and benefit from than it is for you to find that “secret” you are hoping to find.
How can I find my passion and live my dream life:
All you need to do is decide and find something:
- You are good at.
- You enjoy doing
- You can help others with
If you can find that ONE THING you have already succeeded on paper, you have already found that “secret” you spent so much time looking for.
Most people never get to this realization, they hate it and reject in fact.
After you figure out your one thing all you need is to EXECUTE. You need to execute repeatedly, over and over and over again.
I know some of you might say, but how do I execute if there’s nothing to execute. Well go out there and find something to execute on. Here’s how you can easily find opportunities to execute on – by far one of my favorite posts I ever wrote.
Boom. That’s it. Now that you are executing, you will start growing and you will never stop growing unless you STOP executing.
How to figure out what you want in life:
Remember, the only time you STOP GROWING is when you stop executing. So make sure that you keep on taking action on your ONE THING.
This will snowball in a way that you can’t even imagine and I promise you that with time, you will be living your dream life.
Define what you want, pick your one thing, execute.
Taking advantage of every single opportunity AVAILABLE to you at this EXACT moment is how people on the top got there.
Instead of looking for a way to get there and dreaming about it, why not just execute like crazy and be 100% sure that with time you will get there.
It’s a no-brainer to me although I will admit even I sometimes still get lost in the world of dreaming instead of executing. But I’m working on it.
Are you ready to execute your way to the top with me?
Thanks for reading.
Until next time,
